Engaging students in thought -provoking activities that focus on good character behavior helps them develop a sense of purpose and guides them in making the right choices in life. The reproducible activities in this book will help develop Citizenship, Honesty, Fairness, Responsibility, Cooperation, Respect, Tolerance, and Perseverance. Each unit focuses on a single character trait. The qualities that define that trait are developed through short plays, take-home assignments, role-playing simulations, journal writing, short stories, games, self-reflection activities, and more. In additions, each unit includes the profile of a famous person whose life has served as a model of that particular character trait through his or her own actions and deeds. Activities that support current IRS, NCTE, and NCSS Standards have been identified in a Standards Correlation Chart at the beginning of each unit.
